1964/1982 Chevy 292 Engine Swap

Check out the photos below with more to come showing the engine swap I performed on a 1982 square body Chevy!  The truck originally came with a 250 Integro Head inline 6 engine.  I replaced it with a vintage 1964 Chevy 292 inline 6.  This engine kept the old school 6 cylinder tradition with way more torque and power than the 250 ever had.  I fabricated an engine mount adaptor for the passenger side motor mount which was not lined up with the square body engine mount position.  Using the original engine mount and bracket the fabricated adaptor I made corrected the offset between the two different vintages of engines.  Turns out Chevrolet swapped the fuel pump and engine mount position on there overhead "modern" 6 cylinder engine line somewhere between 1964 and 1982.  The driver side was never changed and bolted right up to the square body mount with no issue.  Figured some of you would want to see this conversion and I hope you try this yourself or of course if your not that handy we can do it for you here at the shop!  Please contact us for more details.
